California Department of Education. The Department of Education serves our state by innovating and collaborating with educators, schools, parents, and community partners. Together, as a team, we prepare students to live, work, and thrive in a multicultural, multilingual, and highly connected world.

County of Santa Clara. The mission of the County of Santa Clara is to plan for the needs of a dynamic community, provide quality services, and promote a healthy, safe and prosperous community for all. Encouraging participation in civics education is the surest way to insure that we are preparing students for the responsibilities of citizenship. A well-informed electorate is the best guarantee that our ability to self-govern will carry us well into the future. These skills can and should be learned at an early age, as they are precursors to success and a meaningful life. The County of Santa Clara wants to do its part to prepare students for such a future.

The East Side Alliance (ESA) consists of eight partner districts: the East Side Union High School District and the seven elementary partner districts: Alum Rock, Berryessa, Evergreen, Franklin-McKinley, Mt. Pleasant, Oak Grove, and Orchard. ESA is a collective impact initiative recognizing that the districts and partners involved are independent agencies agreeing to collaborate towards a common purpose, with agreed upon goals and objectives supporting a collaboratively developed Vision and Mission.

At History San José (HSJ), each of our school programs is innovative, interactive, and written in alignment with the Common Core State Standards and the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards. At HSJ we share the unique stories of our sites; provide accounts of real individuals in history; and encourage discussion, questioning, and active involvement for all students to help them better understand the past. We particularly focus on creating lessons that help students activate their empathy muscle. From our experience, teaching kids empathy through the lens of history has the capacity to transform their lives for the better and provide positive social change in schools and communities.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Museum of Tolerance is a human rights laboratory and educational center dedicated to challenging visitors to understand the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts and confront all forms of prejudice and discrimination in our world today.

The mission of the Registrar of Voters (ROV) Office is to provide quality services with highest level of integrity, efficiency, and accuracy in voter registration and election processes.

The Santa Clara County Bar Association provides education and support to member attorneys, advances the local administration of justice, and serves the public by fostering improved public understanding of and access to the legal system.

The Santa Clara County Office of Education is a regional service agency that provides instructional and business services to the 31 school districts of Santa Clara County. The SCCOE serves students through special education programs, alternative schools, Head Start and State Preschool programs, migrant education, and Regional Occupational Programs. The Office also provides curriculum support, staff development, and technology support and training directly to teachers and staff in schools countywide.

Santa Clara County School Boards Association offers board development services, communication, and other activities to promote public education for the thirty-one elementary, high school and unified school district Boards of Trustees and the County Board of Education in Santa Clara County.

The Superior Court in Santa Clara County serves the public by providing equal justice for all in a fair, accessible, effective, efficient, and courteous manner: by resolving disputes under the law; by applying the law consistently, impartially and independently; and by instilling public trust and confidence in the Court.
